Datganiad cenhadaeth: Nod Pentref Byd-eang Merthyr Tudful (PBMT) yw ymgysylltu â phobl Merthyr Tudful i’w cynorthwyo i archwilio diwylliannau gwahanol eu cyfeillion a’u cymdogion trwy ddulliau artistig. Drwy ddod â phobl ynghyd i ddathlu amrywiaeth a threftadaeth gyfoethog y pair diwylliannol hwn, mae PBMT yn benderfynol y bydd:
yn hybu cytgord, dealltwriaeth a pharch,
mynd i’r afael ag anwybodaeth a rhagfarn,
hybu amrywiaeth a chynhwysiant cymunedol a
darparu digwyddiadau addysgiadol pwysig ac sy’n cynnig adloniant.
Trwy gerddoriaeth a’r celfyddydau a thrwy uno ynghyd, gall pobl Merthyr Tudful a’r ardaloedd cyfagos feddu ar well ddealltwriaeth ohonynt hwy eu hunain ac eraill a pharchu treftadaeth, arferion a diwylliant ei gilydd.
